Angel Fund (limited amount available per month)
Animal Welfare Center of Ashtabula County will help with veterinarian expenses for those in need as follows:

Office visit for ill pet - $75.00
Surgery Cost - $150

This medical program is ONLY for pets that are ill. Routine checkups and vaccinations are excluded. A detailed estimate from the veterinarian must be provided on the veterinarian’s letterhead and must be signed. The owner must inform the veterinarian that Animal Welfare Center of Ashtabula County is permitted to inquire about the pet’s illness and establish validity of the cost. Payment will be made directly to the veterinarian AFTER the surgery has been performed and upon receipt of a detailed invoice. AWC will NOT pay for surgeries that have already been performed or unpaid bills for past veterinarian costs.

The following documentation is required to apply:

Your name, address and phone number
Photo ID
Clear photo of the pet and name of pet
Proof of government assistance or low income
Name, address and phone number of veterinarian
Exact date and time of veterinarian appointment.

Rainbow Bridge Fund
The Rainbow Bridge Fund is a program that helps pet parents financially cover the costs associated with helping their pet cross the Rainbow Bridge. Should you need assistance, please send an email with the following information to: awcashtabula@gmail.com

Name and phone number of the veterinarian
Your full name
Name of your pet
Photo of your pet
Photo ID
Proof of government assistance or low income

We will contact your veterinarian to verify that the pet is terminally ill and requires assistance crossing the bridge. The maximum amount paid by AWC would be $75 and will be paid directly to the veterinarian.
